The submersible is operated by battery power operating four thrusters. It has 1each Axial Fwd/Aft Thruster, 2each Vertical Thrusters and 1each@Lateral Thruster enabling top speed of 1knot underwater and can operate for maximum of four hours. It has 48hours worth of oxygen/scrubber system for 3men dive team. Ballast is variably controlled by the pilot using compressed air and seawater. Maximum diving depth is 300msw. It has 14 view ports enabling different angle for viewing and/or photo recording in conjunction with outside tandem operated strobe light.
Tools and navigational aids included: I.S.E Magnum 7function/5function rate operated manipulators, Sample basket, Simrad MS900 scanning sonar, 2each Simrad RPT 319 transponder W/HPR-300P for positioning, 4each Floodlights, Acoustic voice communication system and Emergency radio beacon.
It is overhauled and upgraded with latest equipment during scheduled annual
maintenance and inspection performed by our team of techniciansin corporation
with Sumitomo Shipyard personnel. Regular maintenance has enabled more
than 6000 dives with no accident.
